The Costa Blanca does offer a great variety of different sporting
activities. There are many possibilities for sport freaks as well
as for visitors who just do like to relax and enjoy the calm and
quiet atmosphere. One can swim and surf off the breathtaking sandy beaches, making
the Costa Blanca one of the favored water sports areas of Europe. In
addition there are other water sports: diving, sailing, waterski or
fishing. There are 36 sports and yacht harbours and they offer a great
variety of courses, events, and competitions for beginners and professionals.
The clubs are well organised and offer a very high standard.
The Costa Blanca is one of the major places to play golf. The mediterranian
climate does make the region the "golfer´s paradise". There are many
different golf courses spread along the coast. To give some examples
of Costa Blanca golf clubs, there is: Costa del Azahar (Grau de Castelló), El
Saler (direction L'Albufera) and Oliva Nova Golf. The costs will vary from
18.03 Euro to 36.06 Euro from Monday to Friday up to 48.08 Euro on Sundays.

There are many hiking trails offering different duration and level
of difficulty. Mountain climbing, horse riding, paragliding and white
water rafting are readily available. Tourist information centres also
give details about these pursuits as well. Hiking is very enjoyable at
Penyal d'Ifac and Montgón along the coast as well as at Tinenca de Benifassà,
the Maestrat Mountains, Penyagolosa, Racó del Duc (close to Gandia), the
Serra de Bernia, Serra de Aitana and Serra de Mariola and the Nature
Park Carrascar de la Font Roja (close to Alcoi) and Xorretdel Cati (Serra de Maigmó).
